National Public Lands Day event at Thurmond Lake

  I wanted to invite  the Augusta Sailing Club to the 2017 National Public Lands Day event at Thurmond Lake.  The event will be held Saturday, September 30th from 8:00am to noon.  We have a number of volunteer activities planned, including construction of fish attractors, trail maintenance and clearing, landscaping, painting, building bluebird boxes, etc.    The volunteer activities will be followed by a volunteer appreciation lunch, with music, free T-shirts (as supplies last), door prizes and a one-day pass for free admission to any federal park site.
