Cruiser’s Corner 2014

Cruising with a sailboat evokes visions of sunshine, warm water, cockpit cocktails and beautiful sunsets, yet it is amazing how much fun a cruiser can have at ASC during the cold winter months. There is more to cruising than dropping an anchor, and ASC cruisers sure know it!

If you haven’t been around, you’ve missed the impromptu New Year’s Eve party, the “freakishly warm weekend” parties that spring up on porches, boats and the clubhouse and the Fall Series after-race gatherings.

Mardi Gras. March 8th game “Bumped Off on Bourbon Street.” All twelve of the mandatory parts are filled, but we still have a few “optional” character parts for those of you with inner hams just waiting to get out. Too shy? You don’t have to play a role to enjoy the game. Anyone can participate and play detective, and there will be an award for the first on to correctly guess “whodunnit”. New Orleans-style food is on the menu, and it is sure to be a good time worth remembering! If you haven’t gotten in your RSVP, please do so quickly to Tony Coy at .

With our Global Wierding, this time of year the full moon cruises become somewhat impromptu. Let’s face it, typically the only people you will see on the lake in 25 degree rainy weather are us! If the weather looks nice, we’ll raft, and will send a “shout out” email a few days in advance. Not receiving “cruisermail”? Let me know.
