Lou Frye

The sad news is Louis (Lou) Fryer passed away November 7, 2017.


The Augusta Sailing Club hosted a memorial service at the club house Saturday Nov. 11th at noon to honor and celebrate Lou's life with us..
His obituary is in the Thursday November 9th Augusta Chronicle
Lou was our friend and a member for over 20 years. He was a kind and gentle person. He always volunteered to help, when there was a need for a skilled hand. He quietly assisted with power boat repairs, race committee, dock captain duties, and many other team activities. He was always a friendly member that had a smile and a good word for everyone!
Lou was a retired Master Sergeant from the US Air Force.
Survivors include his sons, Timothy Frye, Robert Frye (Janet), daughter, Debbie Gibson (Pat), grandchildren, Jessica Bell, Rebecca Bell, Sean Sester, Robert J. Frye and Curtis Frye and two great grandchildren, Jordan Lee and Noah Gilstrap. And other family members.
He will be missed by all.

Louis Ray Frye, 80, entered into rest November 7, 2017. 

Louis a native of Baltimore, Maryland has lived the past 20 years in Appling, Georgia where he was a Retired MSG in the US Air Force, and a long-time member of the Augusta Sailing Club.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Augusta Sailing Club Appling, Georgia. 

Survivors include his sons, Timothy Frye, Robert Frye (Janet), daughter, Debbie Gibson (Pat), grandchildren, Jessica Bell, Rebecca Bell, Sean Sester, Robert J. Frye and Curtis Frye and two great grandchildren, Jordan Lee and Noah Gilstrap. And other family members.
