RSVP jclaffey@gabn.net The Labor Day Regatta was a resounding success. It is a little unclear who had more fun, the regatta participants or the crew that prepared the pigs. There was a serious tailgating sort of atmosphere involved in that “pig” culture that pervaded the Club Friday night through Saturday afternoon. Winds were better than forecast. Congratulations to the regatta winners: Ed Durant – Portsmouth (lg) in an E scow, Jeff Holder – Portsmouth (sm) in JY15, Brad Bertram – PHRF Spin and Rocky Kight - PHRF Non Spin. There were 26 boats competing, 23+ volunteers and 142 fine pig dinners served. Thanks to Jimmy Claffey for coordinating this event to this new level of greatness.
