What a great turn out this past weekend! Hopefully, everyone enjoyed sailing the new BICs. Make sure to mark your calendars, as we will be starting Sunday practices for all Juniors interested in improving their sailing skills on September 10th at 3pm. Each week we will have a different topic, as well as some drills and fun games on the water. All participants must bring a coast guard approved life jacket and have a parent on the premises. If there are any parents willing to volunteer, please email me.
We are also hoping to get several Juniors to race in the upcoming Labor Day Regatta on September 2nd and 3rd. For more information and to register go to labordayregattaandpigroast-1. If we have enough participants, we will try to have a separate Junior course for the Sunfish and O’pen BICs. In order to prepare, there will be a special practice for all Junior Labor Day participants on Sunday, August 27 at 3pm. We will go over racing rules and have some practice races, as well as answer any questions. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in racing the Labor Day Regatta, so we can make arrangements for boats and courses. We look forward to seeing you on water! Kim Bagnoni
