The Augusta Sailing Club has hired Chris Newton to be our Site Manager.  Chris is moving into the Gate house and will start the first of May.  Chris is a graduate of Clemson University.

Chris's previous position was managing a private estate on Wassaw Island near Savannah, doing much of what he will do at ASC..  Before that he worked as a SC State Park Service Ranger at Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area.  Over his 20 year career at several SC state Parks his duties required administration, operations, law enforcement, public relations, and maintenance..  He has had a broad range of experiences that will help him greatly as our Site Manager.

Chris is not married, but has a significant other, Leanna McMillan who lives in Barnwell and she currently is a SC State Park Ranger.
