This is a proposal to erect a monument for the deceased members of the Club that have had their ashes spread at the lake. This proposal is to furnish and install a monument made out of honed granite in the shape of a stylized sailboat with bronze plaques for names as follows:
One Granite sail shape 25” Wide x 42” Tall x 4” Thick.
One Granite base 36” Long x 14” Wide x 6” Thick in the shape of boat hull.
Granite to be Grey with honed finish and rock pitch edges.
One side of sail etched with a ships wheel and the other with an anchor.
The top of the base would be engraved with “FROM THE SEA WE CAME, TO THE SEA I HAVE RETURNED” on one side of the sail and “ETERNAL FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS” on the other side of the sail.
Holes for 16 bronze plaques to be predrilled (8 on each side)
Bronze plaques not included.
Delivery, installation and tax included for $1,000.00
Bronze Plaques as follows:
8 ½” x 5 ½” cast.
Includes maximum 40 – 5/8” raised characters on 3 lines.
Cost of plaque to the Club is $200.00 each.
Proposed location is in the yard arm (flagpole) much bed, pointing (sailing) Northeast.
Plaques are limited to Members who have had their ashes spread at the Lake. Pre-purchase option is available.
This proposal is for the Club to buy the monument and that the plaques be made available to the members for $277 each which includes tax and would recoup the cost of the monument when filled.
